Boy making orange-powered clock

Dear Educators,

For forty years, the mission of the MOST has been to provide hands-on, informal learning experiences that ignite curiosity, encourage discovery, and inspire investigation. Today, as a NYS chartered educational institution by the Board of Regents, we continue to fulfill that mission through our many educational programs and resources, from traveling programs and hands-on science kits to annual student STEM competitions that are free to student participants.

On the content bar to the left, you will see some of the many opportunities available to teachers and students in our community. Whether you are planning an exciting field trip for your students, looking for content to supplement your classroom curriculum, or seeking additional opportunities to challenge students in hands-on STEM learning, the MOST has something to offer!

If you are interested in planning a group visit but are concerned about budgetary constraints, please feel free to review our curated list of field trip funding opportunities here. And remember: NYS teachers always receive free admission to the MOST to explore what we have to offer and plan their next field trip visit. Simply show your valid teacher ID at the front admission desk! Or, you can get started right away by reviewing the MOST Exhibit Curriculum Guides, or exploring some of our favorite digital resources for STEM learning.

If you have questions about MOST programs and how we can help support your classroom curriculum, please feel free to reach out to me at 315-425-9068 x2146 or by email at

Happy hands-on learning!
