Limited to 20 explorers. $150 for members, $175 for non-members

Spend your school break in our Explorer Lab, each time discovering a new STEM field! This year, be an explorer of CHEMISTRY as we travel through the wonderfully messy world of chemical reactions, explosive experiments, and goopy, slimy substances! Planetarium shows, museum exploration, and Science Playhouse adventures included.

Summer 2020

HONEYWELL SUMMER SCIENCE WEEK – Open to 8th Grade Graduates Only
July 6 – 10 & July 15.; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
FREE for residents of Onondaga County – LIMITED TO 80 CAMPERS

Students follow local scientists, engineers, professors and college students into the field to study the Onondaga Lake Watershed firsthand. A series of site visits throughout the week provides opportunities to sample water chemistry, explore areas of geological significance, identify common plants, and more! The program is fully-funded by Honeywell.

BE THE SCIENTIST CAMP – Grades 2-5 (Ages 7-11)
Session 1*: July 27 – 31, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Session 2*: August 10 – 14, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Each day of camp brings new opportunities to ‘Be the Scientist’ with hands-on activities that simulate the work of real scientists in the field – from astronauts and forensic scientists to chemists and marine biologists! Planetarium shows, museum exploration, and Science Playhouse adventures included!

COST: $250 per week for members; $275 for nonmembers

*Both sessions are the same. Please choose only one. Limited to 15 campers per session.

ENGINEER ACADEMY – Grades 6-9 (Ages 12-15)
Session 1*: July 20 – 24, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Session 2*: August 3 – 7, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Have a budding future engineer who likes to invent, create and problem-solve? Sign them up for the MOST’s Engineer Academy, where campers spend the week taking on exciting challenges in aerospace, mechanical, computer, electrical, and civil engineering. Also included: mentoring with local engineers, leadership opportunities, and new friends with shared interests! Outstanding camper projects will also have the opportunity to be featured in the MOST Innovation Station exhibit.

COST: $250 per week for members; $275 for nonmembers

JUNIOR SCIENTIST CAMP – Grades K-1 (Ages 4-6)
Session 1*: July 20 – 24, 9 a.m. – 11:30 p.m.
Session 2*: August 3 – 7, 9 a.m. – 11:30 p.m.

Young children are natural scientists – they are curious, inquisitive, and always ready to explore! The MOST’s Junior Scientist Sensory Camp encourages that scientific spirit through stories, music, and hands-on, sensory play – all designed to inspire young children to begin discovering the world around them! Planetarium shows, museum exploration, and Science Playhouse adventures included!

COST: $150 per week for members; $175 for nonmembers
