APRIL BREAK 2019

The MOST will offer five (5) one-day camps during April Break Week (15th-19th), each with a different theme. All camps are ideal for children ages 6-12 (must have attended all-day Kindergarten), and are limited to 20 campers per session.

BE THE ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTIST
Monday, April 15th, 9 AM – 4 PM (No Before or After Care)
$60 for members, $70 for nonmembers

Through hands-on activities and interactive lessons on sustainability, alternative energy, conservation, and more, campers will become environmental experts ready to go out into the world and take on one of the biggest problems facing their generation: climate change.

BE THE CHEMIST
Tuesday, April 16th, 9 AM – 4 PM (No Before or After Care)
$60 for members, $70 for nonmembers

Curious chemists can explore the wonders of chemical change in the laboratory, kitchen, and beyond! The MOST’s Potions Professors will guide campers through a variety of hands-on experiments, explosions, and other potions with surprising effects.

Wednesday, April 17th, 9 AM – 4 PM (No Before or After Care)
$60 for members, $70 for nonmembers

Calling all kids who love to help others – stat! Campers will explore careers in medicine, learn how to use the tools of the trade, and discover concepts in anatomy, biology, and medical science in this hands-on exploration of what it means to Be the Doctor!

Thursday, April 18th, 9 AM – 4 PM (No Before or After Care)
$60 for members, $70 for nonmembers

Gamers, coders, and techies unite! Explore the most rapidly growing STEM field during this day-long immersion into the basics of programming, computing, and technology, from binary code to 3D printing.

BE THE MARINE BIOLOGIST
Friday, April 19th, 9 AM – 4 PM (No Before or After Care)
$60 for members, $70 for nonmembers

From sharks and sea turtles to coral reefs and crustaceans! Future marine biologists will have the chance to discover the biodiversity of marine ecosystems and learn the importance of respecting and protecting the oceans and the countless organisms they support.

WEEK-LONG CAMPS

MYSTERY AT THE MOST FORENSICS CAMP
July 22nd – 26th (M-F), 9 AM – 4 PM (No Before or After Care)
$250 per week for members, $275 for nonmembers

There’s been a crime at the MOST! Campers will dust for prints, analyze DNA, examine specimens through a microscope, and more. Then, the last day will feature a challenge where campers can test their new skills: a whole new crime scene to analyze!

MISSION TO MARS SPACE CAMP
July 29th – August 2nd (M-F), 9 AM – 4 PM (No Before or After Care)
$250 per week for members, $275 for nonmembers

What does it take to be an astronaut? Discover what it takes to launch a shuttle, explore a planet, and work as a team! This week of astrophysics and astronomy all leads up to the main event: a live simulated space mission.
