2024 Solar Eclipse Festival

Because Syracuse falls in the path of totality, on April 8, 2024, we will experience complete darkness for about one minute beginning around 3:23 PM. This awe-inspiring event is an exciting opportunity to come together as we encourage wonder, celebrate community, and educate people of all ages about astronomy and space science. The next total eclipse in New York State will not take place until 2079.
